Corrections Policy

Florida law changes fast, and careful writers still make mistakes. When a guide is wrong or out of date, we want to know, and we correct it openly.

How to report an error

Email us with:

  • The link to the guide
  • What you think is wrong or out of date
  • The statute section, bill number or official source, if you have one

What happens next

  1. We check your point against the current Florida Statutes and any source you sent.
  2. If the guide is wrong, we fix it and add a dated note to its change log.
  3. If the law changed, we update the guide, its last-checked date and the effective date.
  4. Spelling and formatting fixes are made without a note.

We aim to review reports within a few business days, and reports about a law that just took effect come first.

What we cannot do

We cannot advise on your own case or review documents in a legal matter. For that, contact a lawyer licensed in Florida.
